I was talking with other photographers several days ago. We were swapping war stories and talking shop. It turned out that during the conversation that we all sold prints of our works as a source of additional income.
Selling prints of your best works is one good way to generate income for yourself even if you are a hobbyist. What good does storing your digital files on your hard drive do you if no one else sees them or can appreciate them.
Yes, you can share them on social media. But is that really the best way for other people to appreciate your work?
A great print of your best shots speaks volumes that far exceeds a thousand words.
There was one gallery wrap canvas print that I sold recently. The image is a personal favorite of mine. I also found out that it was also my wife’s personal favorite.
The buyer had it on display at his house and I couldn’t resist taking snap shot of it.
The prints that I produce for sale are all personal post processed and printed by me. All images are printed using pigment ink on Ilford Galerie Prestige paper and canvas.
It’s a hands on process that is extremely fulfilling once the print is turned over to the buyer.
I have some prints that are open edition and other prints that are part of a numbered series.
Please feel free to send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you wish to check out my image catalogue and purchase a print.
