PhotoWorld Asia 2017 had its last day yesterday. It was held at the Glorietta Mall, Makati from January 26-31, 2017. Canon Marketing Philippines, Inc. (CMPI) sponsored the printing of the images of the winners of the PhotoWorld Cup and Junior PhotoWorld Cup 2016.
We undertook on behalf of CMPI the task of printing all 51 winning entries and the images used by Canon Crusaders of Light Jijo De Guzman and Jun De Leon for their respective talks during the event.
This is the second year in a row that we have printed images that were meant for display during PhotoWorld Asia.
We chose to print all images on Ilford Galerie Prestige Raster Silk paper using our Canon iPF6410 large format inkjet paper.
Ilford Galerie Prestige Gold Raster Silk paper has a paper weight of 290gsm. It is acid free and has a natural base tint. I felt that its broad color gamut, great contrast and tonal range would best highlight the quality of all the images that were going to be put on display.
Another feature of Ilford Galerie Gold Raster Silk it that the fine texture on its surface prevents protection for the print against unauthorized scanning and duplication.
Ilford Imaging has guaranteed that images printed on Ilford Galerie Prestige Gold Raster Silk using a Canon iPF6410 will last 40-60 years before any signs of visible fading will start to occur.
I had a sense of fulfillment of purpose when I finally saw the prints on display when I visited PhotoWorld Asia 2017 last week.
Special thanks to CMPI for entrusting us to produce quality prints for those who attended PhotoWorld Asia 2017 to enjoy.
