USB ports seem to be disappearing from laptops. That’s worrisome for me since I have devices like printers, external hard drives, multi-card readers, Wacom tablet, external optical drive that I need to attach up to three at a time to my laptop.
My Dell mobile workstation has two USB 3.0 ports and a third USB Type-C port. I’ve allotted the first USB 3.0 port to the receiver of my wireless mouse. The second USB 3.0 port will be allotted to a printer. The logical solution is to get a USB hub with a USB Type C connection if I want to be able to connect other USB devices to my Dell mobile workstation.
Once again, I got in touch with Handy To of Abacus Computers (3F VMall, Greenhills, SJ, MM) and asked him what he had in stock.
Handy showed me a DTECH 4-port USB hub. I tried the port out and attached to it a multi-card reader and my iPhone 6. It was noteworthy that my iPhone 6 was still quick charging while I was using the multi-card reader.
The DTECH USB hub also has its own USB Type C port. You can attach a USB Type C AC charger to this port to either power the DTECH USB hub if any of your attached devices need additional power or to charge your laptop.
The DTECH 4-port USB hub has an SRP of P1,400.00 at Abacus Computers.
